Putting the power of trends to work for you
At Fabian Wealth Strategies, we think one of the keys to enhancing total portfolio return is by investing in equities, ETFs and other financial instruments that benefit from powerful trends in the market. These trends, or “themes,” represent substantive market shifts that shape and impact consumer behavior, and that subsequently force companies and entire industries to make fundamental changes to their businesses in order to succeed.
These thematic opportunities are often driven by paradigm shifts in transformational social factors including economics, demographics, psychographics, politics, technology…and that’s just for starters.
The dominant concept used in the Thematic Growth Portfolio is to pick up signs of these shifts as they start to emerge, and to move capital into and out of a variety of financial instruments (individual stocks, equity options and ETFs) that we feel will offer our clients outstanding opportunity to enhance total return through targeted investment in these powerful game-changing themes.
The Thematic Growth Portfolio is the brainchild of portfolio manager Chris Versace. A newsletter writer and colleague of Doug Fabian at Eagle Publishing, Chris has spent nearly two decades building an outstanding reputation as an advisor who is able to identify the biggest and best investable themes operating in the market today.
Using his keen insight of the mega-trends operating in what may appear to some as disparate fields, Chris is able to ferret through the vast universe of companies and identify stocks with the greatest potential for delivering risk-tolerant investors enhanced returns.
Chris is the Editor of the PowerTrend Profits and ETF PowerTrader newsletters, and he’s a frequent contributor to publications such as Forbes.com and The Street.com. Prior to his work with Fabian Wealth Strategies, Chris was a portfolio manager at Agile Capital Management; a senior vice president of equity research at Friedman Billings Ramsey, and an equity analyst at firms Salomon Brothers, and at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
He has received honorable mentions in the Institutional Investor annual research analyst rankings, including a Five-star analyst ranking by Zacks Investment Services, and a Four-star analyst ranking by Star Mine. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in economics and mathematics from FairfieldUniversity, as well as a M.B.A. in Finance from FordhamUniversity.
We are proud to offer Chris Versace’s expertise and portfolio management services in the Thematic Growth Portfolio as a way to help suitable clients take advantage of the powerful trends in the 21st-century financial markets.
