Economic Points to Remember When Investing

Written by Dani, July 09th, 2012

We’ve been talking a lot about the global economic news, so we thought we’d round up some of our main points today, with coinciding links:

  • We are currently in a global bear market
  • Economic fundamentals of world are deteriorating
  • We believe that the point of recognition is coming soon, and sharp fall is coming to the markets when it does come
  • There is currently a high level of complacency amongst investors (which we believe is a recipe for loss)
  • Capital preservation should be your highest priority
  • On the other hand, a panicked decline will be our investment opportunity
  • MSM (main stream media) has positive bias on financial news – watch out for that
  • Slowing economic growth is not good for stocks, and that is our challenge right now in a slowing global economy
